Water monitor lizard spotted in front of Michigan home: ‘It freaked me out’

A Michigan male got a flaky surprise outside his house today.

Richard Heatherly of Dearborn Heights identified a water display lizard on his front patio Tuesday afternoon, WXYZ reported.

“ Went to the front door ‘ trigger the feline was at it, I looked, I opened the front door, ” he informed the station. “ And he was atmy front door , consuming feline food. ”

The lizard was an unwanted visitor for Heatherly.

“ It freaked me out, ” he stated. “ I stated ‘ That ’ s an initially, a lizard at my front door. ’ ”

The reptile didn ’ t stay for long: Heatherly informed thestation it hurried inside a pet dog home.

“ I figured it was starving ‘ trigger it was consuming the feline food, so I went and got some oranges and apples, tossed it in the pet home and put a block of wood there, ” he stated, including that he got in touch with the Humane Society.

The Michigan Humane Society is asking the owner of the lizard to call the company, where it was transferred, or animal control in Dearborn Heights.

“ I believe it was somebody ’ s animal, ” Heatherly stated. “ It most likely may have an enclosure outside, and perhaps they had it and it went out. Or perhaps somebody launched it. ”
